DESIGN PLAN DRAWINGS

A successful landscape begins with a vision.  When I consult with you, we create that vision together.  We find out how you want your landscape to look and the purposes it should serve.  Do you prefer a traditional or contemporary style? Would you like to see formal flower beds bordering a patio or winding trails through California sages and Ceanothus? Will you entertain outdoors, play game with the kids or sit in a quiet gazebo to watch the birds?  Would you like a vegetable garden or a fish pond or a treehouse?  Once we’ve clarified the vision, I will illustrate it in the form of a Concept Drawing.  If you are happy with that Concept, I then go ahead with the Design Plan Drawings.  These are architectural drawings from which a Landscape Contractor can build the whole landscape.  Separate pages show everything necessary: site preparation, construction of hardscape, installation of pipes, placement of plants, irrigation and lighting. Proceeding like this, from a well planned design, is the best assurance that your new landscape will be a success, both esthetically and functionally.  It will thrive for generations, without need for repair or revision, because all its components were carefully chosen.  Since my Design Plans include an irrigation schedule plus recommendations for basic maintenance, you can use your Design Plan as an Owners’ Manual. Your investment in a professional Landscape Design Plan gives you tremendous returns.
